Half a year before starting the Reverse Diabetes2 Now programme I started to realize I’d had to take several warning signs seriously (amongst other neuropathy in my feet and leaking bloodveigns in my eyes).

During the programme I was explained thoroughly how diabetes works, how to deal with it, and how you are able to reverse it. For me, besides the pillars nutrition, exercise, sleep and relaxation, the learnings on irregular working hours were a true eye-opener. This caused a bad sleeping pattern with the added stress levels, which had a strong impact on my blood glucose levels. Apart from that, my family had to bear with that stress too.

My employer in public transport, after I’d stepped forward to ask for it, changed my schedule in such a way that there was barely any irregularity left in my working hours. For me, and also my family, that is such a change, both mentally as psychically.
